Community Dance Program
The 'Sunnyside Shakers' Community Dancers are individuals who have previously experienced homelessness. The aim of the dance and movement program is to create opportunities for community connection and to support dancers in increasing their well-being as many struggle with addiction and mental illness. Coming from camping outside or staying in shelters, to attending recreation activities, such as the community dance class, is a huge step for many of the individuals in the program.
